Pilot Saw the Runway near to Minimums | Boeing 737 Manual Landing | Pilot Head Camera
#Pilot #Cockpit #Landing
Here is the approach near to CAT I minimum. The visibility was fine but the cloud base was around 80 meters. For CAT I it should not be lower than 60 meters. It was not challenging but the weather had deteriorated during our approach and we were prepared for manual landing, so I decided to continue approach till minimums. If you are not sure about the weather it is better to perform the automatic approach and landing, however you need to be prepared for that. We were reported about new cloud base just on final, so the proper action there is just not to reset everything in the cockpit for manual landing but continue as planned, because 80 meters of cloud base it ok for manual landing. The Boeing 737 is nice airplane and it is certified to perform the automatic approach and landing for CAT III minima. I hope you enjoy this video filmed on my Sony Pilot Head Camera.
