Hi there! Did you know that pilots are allowed to take their guns on their flights. But pilots can't just go to local weapon store, buy the gun and fly with it. Pilots need to pass the special training before taking the permission to carry the gun on board.

There was a case with actual case of hijacking where criminals were tried to take the control over the aircraft, however the armed aircrew fired back and safely landed the airplane. That case happened not in USA but in USSR.

My personal opinion is positive about the armed cockpit. You know my peaceful position to everyone, but if there may always be the risk that criminals may somehow break through the final layer of defense, the cockpit door. With armed cockpit they will think twice before doing that...

I may be wrong, so tell me your answer to the question....
