Opening locked door and restoring the wasted key.

You need to see the key before interacting (spending it) by keeping the inventory open. If you have Key Ring, use it via quickslot. (todo: record both scenarios)

If holding multiple Iron keys, drop the first one.

You can open key ring (inventory) with mouse click (but not hold) instead. (todo: rec)

Notes:
- switching between tabs after using key updates inventory to actual state and you loose the key for good.
- dropping the key ring instead not works.
