http://www.netbooknews.com Here at Netbook News have loved Pixel Qi since we first discovered its sunlight viewable display technology could revolutionize outdoor mobile computing. If you've missed it Pixel Qi combines LCD screen with the E Ink display for multiple modes including a black and while setting that is ultra low power. Unlike most EInk technology Pixel Qi is capable of full motion video. If you turn off the back light you're left with a high contrast display which you can view in full sun light.

What is interesting about this release is that Pixel Qi has come out with a 10.1" display with 1280 x800 screen resolution that is perfectly targeted at Android tablets. ARM processors already offer super long battery life so combining them with this low power consumption display technology.

This 10.1" display technology starts sampling in Q4 of 2011.
