Here is a Quick tutorial for a custom helix in alpha 2.2.

Not too hard, some of the techniques used can be used for other parts. I use 45 degrees as my roll angle, you can increase or decrease as required. I like to do the helix in 4 sections any more and the difference in angles is too hard to judge.

I might be wrong on my track length. Since they took the number away it has been hard to judge. either each square is 3m or 4m.. so its either 12m or 16m track lengths
