Planet Coaster - Jägerhorn (Part 4) - Station Building
In the longest episode of Planet Coaster I have ever made, I'm working on the exterior of Jägerhorn's alpine coaster station building. Taking over 10 hours in total to build - and yet still unfinished - this is one of my biggest and most ambitious projects today, even if it's just a small alpine mansion. The Belle Époque-esque station is built largely in the Swiss chalet style, with wood carvings and decorated gables, a classical sandstone brick foundation and a variety of spires and bell towers.
The two main inspirations for this build:
Kaufhaus Weissenberger in St. Blasien: http://www.ansichtskarten-center.de/webshop/shop/ProdukteBilder/16401/AK_13200122_gr_1.jpg
Dolder Grand Hotel in Zürich: https://www.ahstatic.com/photos/a9u3_ho_03_p_2048x1536.jpg
Along with various documentations on the Swiss Chalet Style from many corners of the internet, but including a handy Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_chalet_style
