Planet Coaster - Grapefruit (Part 1) - Realistic Layout, Supports & Station
Grapefruit - a B&M Floorless coaster - is the most smooth Planet Coaster coaster I have seen, and with the most realistic track shaping in any way possible that I know of. And thats no clickbait or exaggeration. That said, I don't want to take any credit for it - I just used a method that I did not come up, and might call 'Dustin's 4m technique'. It consists of making the entire track out of 4m long trackpieces and smoothing them out back and forth 8 times, to make up for the ingame coaster creator's lack of heartline and continuous roll. This allows you to make large curves and inversions without the 'snaps' on every track node, heartline banking and rolls that doesn't get removed by the smoothing tool, and continuous rolls and precise control over banking.
This basically allowed the smooth, heartlined, continuous custom zero-G roll, the heartlined transitions around the midcourse brake run, and the sexy as heck final barrel roll. It's not perfect still, it has a jaggedness to it that PC coasters otherwise don't have, but for hardcore coaster enthusiasts it can make for much more realistic layouts, so I wanted to share this anyway.
I started building this coaster a few months ago, when Dustin just came up with a method for making heartlined, continuous roll coasters using the 4m technique. You can check out his original video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OggjRnbR9wM
