I created this video to put most of my thoughts in one place on the current and future models for improving SCU and spawn room design and mechanics. In the background you'll notice a ridiculously easy, boring, and quite effective killing spree from the safety of my invulnerable spawn room after the SCU has been destroyed (way too early in the fight, mind you) at the bio lab that I'm defending. This is not something I typically do, but it provided the perfect gameplay example to do this commentary over.

In the context of this clip, I go over the current and proposed models for SCU destruction, as well as add my own suggestions for SCU mechanics and spawn shield improvements -- the latter of which is rarely talked about by the developers. SOE has been making changes for the better in this regard since the early game update that further fortified spawn rooms with extra exits, tunnels, and cover, but they need to continue pushing in this direction. I think the proposed SCU generator change is a wonderful one and I cannot wait to see that on live servers. I go over additional options and things that may help this situation and why the model that we have on live servers lends itself to such a boring, uneventful, and dull spawn camping and counter-spawn camping experience for both attackers and defenders.

In addition to what is mentioned directly in the video, I have other ideas as well, but did not want to jam pack it so tight and turn it into one of my usual commentaries that ramble on for 10-20 minutes. As such, I'm sure you have ideas as well. Please be encouraged to leave your ideas or questions in the comments and let me know what your take is on this -- there isn't one perfect solution, and I'm curious to know how the rest of the community feels.
