Planning Environments and Thinking about Modularity
672One thing that comes up a lot in the topic of making 3D Environments is : How do you plan before starting? What things should be modular? Should I start with making props, terrain, or what exactly?
Making an environment can be overwhelming, specially if it looks like there are a lot of assets that need to be made. Just thinking about getting started can be daunting, but don't worry because I made this video on how to properly break down and plan an environment before you even start modeling. The nice thing about planning ahead of time is that, once you have a plan, it allows you to focus on the creating part and having fun in the process.
