PLATINUM (Normal Ending 1) | Pocket Mirror (RPG Maker Horror Game) - Part 14 | Flare Let's Play
17Welcome to Pocket Mirror, an RPG Maker Horror Game created by the Astral Shift project team. The normal ending is played throughout this video, know that the content here may contain spoilers. After the demise of Lisette, we traverse into a rather calm scenery which has three unopenable doors, with this playthrough we can see Fleta and Egliette going through one of the doors, meaning that we did not choose the right choices with Harpae and Lisette to get their good outcomes. Thought killed by Lisette, our friend Enjei returns and is adamant just like Harpae to be with and protect the protagonist.
Upmost certain that Enjei is not the protagonist's true identity, I have upmost confidence that the name Lisette shouts out and the items we gather that have letters on them will form the true identiy. Enjei looks almost similar to the protagonist but they are both quite different people. We see into the events that unfolded for Enjei in the past and who are pulling the strings towards their motivates against us, hard to accept, Enjei immediatly enrages against the protagonist, even mentioning about the worthlessness the other characters are in comparison to Enjei's apparantly helpful endeavours.
I'm quite sad now that I've reached the ending of the game, while there are several areas within the game I have not explored or experienced due to the decisions we made, getting to the end of the game has made me a little sad, knowing that everything within the game not explored isn't going to be a complete mystery. Throughout my Let's Plays, I've always looked for a few different factors that makes an rpg maker horror game great, the game needs to have a variety of different horrors that is not only in the moment but also lingers before it happens and after, backstory/story that gives the game unique flavours, something throughout the story that will make the player want to remember and come back upon at another time, and finally a good set of puzzles varying in difficulties. Pocket Mirror manages to do all of these three things outstandingly well with exquisitely beautiful graphics which makes the game that extra bit wondurous, on top of that the game itself is extremely tested out before release, facing minimal bugs along the way. The developers looked towards having the entire game having a huge effect of symbolism, pieces of the game symbolises a function, a purpose, almost nothing within the game did not have a signature or a sign that did not function as it should. The riddles and puzzles were challenging as the game progresses along, this could put the player off from completing the game but I loved them despise my moaning throughout most of them tehe.
