Playing Farcry 3 on the Microsoft Surface Pro at 800X600
21Wow... Just wow. I tried all sorts of resolutions for Farcry 3, but nothing worked smooth enough to call the game playable. Well none but 800X600. Old School Resolution, that not even phones have any more ;). You could actually kind of play at 1024X768, but when the firefights start, things started to slow down. Additionally All settings are set to low, no AA, no bells or whistles at all. So I would call Farcry 3 a fail on the Surface Pro.
On an additional note I don't think I will record externally since so far none of my .cameras can give me a decent enough video to display. No matter, I am now using Bandicam instead of Fraps. It looses a handful of FPS at the most while recording, but the only down side is that if I record over 720p it start slow down (note that I will still be playing at 1080p whenever possible, just that the recording will be 720p).
