Playing the Playstation Launch (2): Rayman
"A Rayman of Hope"
All right. Now we're stepping into a franchise I've played before on here, but that was Origins and Legends and not the actual origin of Rayman here. Released on multiple systems as is usually the case with this series, we're going to give it a shot and see how far we can go before reaching our self-imposed recording limit. Turns out that limit will be World 1 in its entirety with a brief look at World 2 before realizing that maybe we're good for now. Maybe we're good. Is the game?
"It's definitely better than Bubsy." - Me, in this very video. True, but uh... are you okay, me?
Don't worry. It's also better than a lot of other copycat or me too platformers of its era, so we're going to have a good time here. Honestly, this is definitely one where I wish we were doing full runs of the games that I wind up liking instead of just the quick looks. That can always be for later whenever needing a break from the usual stuff. Meanwhile, this game also broke the PS1 NA launch date by a couple days, so our next nine titles in this series will literally be the launch day games. Hope you're ready for those!
