This video demonstrates that a Sony PlayStation 2 Guitar Hero or Band Hero guitar controller can not function on a Microsoft Xbox 360 console in order to play music video games, even when syncing the guitar controller to a PS2 dongle sensor captor connected to a PS2 to Xbox 360 controller converter adapter. In games such as the Guitar Hero, Band Hero and Rock Band series, the guitar controller is simply not recognized as a veritable Xbox 360 guitar controller, but rather it is recognized as a standard Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, only permitting for the addition of vocals (singing) in these aforementioned games (provided a Logitech USB microphone is also connected)
In Konami's Rock Revolution (a music game that permits control of the Guitar, Bass and Drum instrument parts through a standard Microsoft Xbox 360 controller), the selector cursor is broken and continually scrolls upwards, creating an input of constant strumming upwards ad infinitum (which would render this control option useless in-game).
