Thus ends Will's wonderful adventure across the world. With Kara by his side, and the spirits of his parents whispering to him, he glances at the Earth, the lonely planed in an abyss of darkness he fought so hard to protect, its face changing right before his eyes.
It's time to go back now: Will and Kara can forget their mission and return to the ordinary life they led as children of their age. However, as the world has completely changed, so have their lives: from here they part, one with the image of the other etched into their memory, so that they wouldn't forget one another. Will leaves Kara with a promise, that he would search out for her in the new world, no matter how long it takes him.
