PLAYTROUGH - World War Zero (PC, 2005) - Part 11: Isolation Case
Part 11: Isolation Case
My playtrough of the campaign of the first person shooter game called World War Zero (also know as World War Zero: Iron Storm, 1914 - 1964). This game was released in 2005 as a port for the Windows operating system, after the Playstation release. Developed by Rebellion Developments Ltd. and published by Reef Entertainment Ltd.
This is the european version (supported languages: english, german, french).
It is the 1960's, and the First World War never stopped being fought. In this alternate reality, war is the only thing powering the global financial markets and warfare is one vast continent wide trench bound slogging match. The player controls a commando sent to try to break the stale-mate. He must cross the front lines and penetrate deep into enemy territory. (Mobygames.com)
The original game called Iron Storm (2002, re-released in 2013 on digital stores like Steam GOG etc.) had much more grittier graphics (more brown, grey etc.), and many additional features llike third person view, quick save, additional cut-screnes, multiplayer etc.
World War Zero has a bit upgraded graphics, maybe more colors, two additional weapons like the flamethrower and a mini-gun. And that is. On the other front, it has many downgrades aswell. The levels seems simplified aswell. There is only campaign mode, that I am playing here.
I am playing this game in 1400x1050 resolution, with turned off bloom (can't stand that) and 4:3/5:4 mode. It has optional widescreen mode, but it is horizontally stretched and looks ugly.
Specs of the computer I played on:
Intel Core i5-6600, 16 GB RAM, 512 SSD SATA, Geforce GT1030, Windows 8.1 Home 64-bit.
