Today we take the PMDG DC-6B for a quick approach into Drzewiecki Designs' KDCA via the River Visual. This was from a practice session I did trying to refine descending on final with the DC-6 and hitting specific points at specific altitudes. I think this has helped me get a better feel for that final approach, but this approach is not easy in the DC-6. The last turn for RWY 19 is tricky, because the aircraft wants to lose all its speed and fall out of the air, so I had to resort to increasing the power. Could use some more practice, but its a cool approach and you should definitely try it.

More to come this weekend as we being our first "Campaign" in the DC-6.
