In this episode, #2.5, of our series about learning the PMDG DC-6 we complete our flight into Egilsstaðir with a bumpy landing. I am still struggling with managing the DC-6 on final approach, so after arriving in BIEG we headed back to BIKF (Keflavik) where we did some landing practice on their long runways. In total there are 5 landings and 1 go-around in this video. The aircraft takes some practice to get dialed in and if you get too out of shape on approach it is hard to get it back gracefully. I hope my trials and tribulations are helpful and informative, even if only as a cautionary tale.
