Story mode cycles through various characters throughout the run and doesn't get the special attacks until stage 3, making it a bit different from Free mode runs. Pocky is such a hard character to use effectively and she is the character used most through this run, so I'm not sure how far I want to push this. Stage 5 has a random (haven't checked if it's manipulatable) chance of which character it gives you between Hotaru and Ikazuchi, so far I've been faster with Hotaru.
