The second rival battle is easier than I predicted with me using 2 X-Speeds and 3 X-Specials. The worst thing Slugma can do is burning Marshtomp and I 2HKO it with Echoed Voice. Grovyle and Wailmer are OHKO'd by it and I run past two spinners before getting Leppa Berries. I get the Mach Bike, buy the TM Bulldoze and thaught it to Marshtomp.
Wally's Ralts is no match for Bulldoze and my movement in the Mauville gym was decent. I got only one Quick Attack from the two Electrike and the faster Voltorb are no threat. I used an X-Speed against Wattson and I used Water Gun to break Magnemite's Sturdy. The rest of his team is OHKO'd and I saved before the rocks on Route 111.


Saved at 0:54 with a L21 Marshtomp.
