I only accepted getting past the dark area in Mt. Silver in less than 30 seconds and I was happy with this attempt. I used a Guard Special and 2 X-Attacks against Red and I hoped Pikachu would only use Charm. I was surprised Red cooperated at the first attempt, after several Blue resets that were very annoying. I could now OHKO Pikachu and Espeon with Return. I 2HKO'd Venusaur, Snorlax, Blastoise and Charizard and the last two didn't do anyting annoying.

Saved at 3:14 with a L63 Feraligatr.

I only tried to redo my Crystal run because of the new route and I only expected to save 2 to 4 minutes at best. Poké Center skips and speeding past spinners really helped out and I also made some unexpected strategies. I was really close to get a 3:15, but I absolutely wanted to tie with the single segment wold record. I am now done with gen I and II and I won't touch III and IV ever again, but I might return to gen V.
