This is a challenge I did in Pokémon Emerald, where I only use an Espeon. This is made possible by giving myself an Espeon as a starter using the Universal Pokémon Randomizer ZX. Everything else remains untouched from vanilla.

This fight was actually pretty difficult. There's a few scary moments in this. My initial attempts (w/ the moveset Return, Shadow Ball, Psychic and Psybeam) got walled by Metagross, Steven's ace, so I had to learn a few setup moves. Hidden Power was learned to determine which type it was, turns out it was Fighting. Calm Mind (and Reflect, to a lesser extent) was definitely the play against Metagross.
