This is part 18 of my continuous walkthrough of Pokemon Emerald.

In this video, we fight the 6th Gym Leader,Winona , and earn our 6th Gym Badge and a cool TM. This flying-type gym is weak to electric, ice, and rock type moves, although there are some exceptions. Be sure to level up your team/party to around level 30-35 as the trainers here are powerful. I would recommend picking up TM24 Thunderbolt (see previous video). Here's Winona's team:

Swablu♀ Lv.29
-Use electric, ice, or rock types.

Tropius♀ Lv.29
-Use Ice*, fire, poison, rock, or flying type moves.

Pelipper♀ Lv.30
-Only weak (4x) to electric type moves.

Skarmory♀ Lv.31
-Use either electric or fire types.

Altaria♀ Lv.33
-Weak (4x) to Ice, get Ice Beam in the Abandoned Ship on Route 108.

Some quick tips: Get TM 24 Thunderbolt from Wattson after the New Mauville Quest and also pick up TM 13 Ice Beam at the Abandoned Ship on Route 108. Do not let Altaria set up with Dragon Dance as that can quickly wipe out your whole team, so take it down before it sets up. After defeating her, she'll give you the TM for Aerial Ace and the Feather Badge. Congratulations!
