Pokemon Fire Red any% TAS WIP (v2)
29PLEASE, READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING ABOUT THINGS IN THE RUN.
- I don't skip the intro as fast as possible in the current WIP run, yeah. In this game, wild encounters are determined from the beginning (actually, they are determined just after the Charizard screen fades). The chances of getting just 2 wild encounters until Pewter City is just 1/65536, so I was forced to wait some frames at the beginning.
- Something new you may notice is that I open the help menu while battling sometimes. Well, even if it's hard to believe when watching the run, that do saves time. Sometimes I do have to wait lot of frames to get a good critical hit. The reason I open the help menu is to reduce that waiting in some cases.
- Choosing girl as character, choosing different frame colour, and stuff like that is done for entertainment, and it actually didn't cost me any frame at all, since I still had to wait a very few frames to get a Squirtle with good stats.
