Michael beats "Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee" with just Clefable! This is the full-length version of the video, without any skipping or commentary.

Clefable appears in Mount Moon, which is right after the first gym. I caught a clefairy and evolved it using a moonstone. I started a new game on a different profile and used Pokemon Home to transfer the Clefable into the new game.

For whatever reason, evolving Clefairy gives it the move Metronome. Normally, Clefairy doesn't learn that move until Level 18. Since Clefable doesn't have good attack movies, Clefable relies heavily on Metronome to win the first gym battle.

After the first gym, I went to Mount Moon and caught many Clefairies. I evolved one of them (named Gold) right away. Gold was the one with the best defense. My plan was to set Gold up with the defensive Clefable moveset that the Internet recomments, which is toxic, protect, substitute and rest. It took about six hours to get that setup on Gold, and it ended up being a fairly significant waste of time. That moveset was not helpful, and it would have been better to set Gold up with nothing but attack moves.

Clefairy's best attack move is moonblast. It learns this move at Level 28. My plan was to get five Clefairies and evolve them, as soon as they learn Moonblast. This happened about four hours into the run. I put the strongest Clefable (named Emma) as the #1 Pokemon in the party, with Gold as #2.

One problem is that you need a moon stone to evolve Clefairy into Clefable. You can get two of them from Mount Moon and one from Copycat's bed. I'm told those three moon stones respawn every day, although when I tried, only two of them respawned.

After gym 3, I went back to Mount Moon to get new moon stones, and I got distracted by catching a bunch of new Clefairies. That didn't waste TOO much time overall, but it would have been better if I got all the Clefairies and moon stones I needed on the first trip to Mount Moon.
