Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee - Arcanine Only Run
Michael beats "Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee" with just Arcanine! This video comes with live commentary. It skips through the less important parts, and it covers all the gyms.
Michael uses Pokemon Home to give himself two low level Arcanines from this game, as well as a low level Arcanine from Pokemon Go. Surprisingly, the Arcanine from Pokemon Go proves to be the best of the three, even though it is a two-star Pokemon without any fire moves. Arcanine cannot learn moves in this game, except through TMs, and the only fire TMs are late in the game. As a result, Arcanine relies heavily on Bite and Headbutt, throughout the run.
Bark-anine uses an X-defense and a potion to get through the first gym. X-Special Defenses are used to get through the second gym. The third gym is easy enough to beat, if you get your characters at a high enough level. The fourth gym is easy to beat with Arcanine, because Arcanine has a type advantage.
After the fourth gym, I got a chain of Growlithes, in the hopes of getting candy for Arcanine. While that didn't work, it allowed Arcanine to reach level 45, which is much higher than the game expects you to be. That allows Arcanine to clear the rest of the game with relative ease.
Arcanine gets Flamethrower from Silph Co., Floor 10. Arcanine gets Fire Blast from Blaine's gym. Arcanine is a pretty strong fighter after that, although the final gym proves to be tough, due to type matchups. X items are enough to help Arcanine get through the Elite Four.
