Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! | Cup o' Joe | Part 1 - Fluffer Nutt, the Birth of a Hero
Part 1 of my Cup o’ Joe coverage of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu | Fluffer Nutt, the Birth of a Hero
In this video, we play through the beginning of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu, a brand new Pokémon game released in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch. It is a spinoff game and a remake of Pokémon Yellow for the Gameboy. It takes heavy influence from the Pokémon Go mobile game. It is aimed primarily at casual Pokémon fans and newcomers to the series.
At the beginning of the game we get the traditional greeting from Professor Oak. We tell him our name (Fluffer Nutt) and the name of our rival (Gertrude). We also get to choose our appearance. After this, we awaken and meet our rival Gertrude (whose default name is Trace) and then head off to find Oak at his lab. Instead we go north out of town and find Oak, but we get attacked by a wild Pikachu! With Oak’s help we catch it, and it becomes our first Pokémon, and I name her Felicity. Oak gives us a Pokédex and we head along Route 1 toward Viridian City to begin our Pokémon journey.
Cup o’ Joe is my series of one-off videos here on YouTube. Anytime I make a video of a game that I do not intend to expand into a full let’s play, it becomes Cup o’ Joe. This may include coverage of recent releases, holiday special videos, one-off multiplayer content, or just any random game I feel like playing for whatever reason.
