Part 1 of my Cup o’ Joe coverage of Xenoblade Chronicles X | WE’RE STUCK ON A DIFFERENT PLANET

In this video, we begin our brief journey into my favorite game of all time, Xenoblade Chronicles X. XCX was released in 2015 for the Nintendo Wii U and is the second entry in the critically-acclaimed Xenoblade series. In comparison to other Xenoblade games, it takes emphasis off of the story somewhat with a much larger focus on worldbuilding, exploration, and sidequesting.

We begin the video with a cutscene describing the backstory of the game. Earth gets caught in a battle between two alien superpowers, and a handful of humans try to escape on giant ships called Arks. One ark, the White Whale, manages to escape but is shipwrecked on an alien planet. We then create our own character, who I name Wes. After being awoken by a woman named Elma, we’re allowed to explore Starfall Basin in Primordia and get a hang for the games combat. We then leave the basin and see a wonderful cutscene introducing us to the planet of Mira.

Cup o’ Joe is my series of one-off videos here on YouTube. Anytime I make a video of a game that I do not intend to expand into a full let’s play, it becomes Cup o’ Joe. This may include coverage of recent releases, holiday special videos, one-off multiplayer content, or just any random game I feel like playing for whatever reason.
