Champion Stadium - Unova Master Mode (July 2021 Week 2) - F2P Friendly Teams (No 5* Gacha)

Difficult week for F2P friendly runs. Ground is an awful type so you have to toxic stall it or use Xerneas. Dark is now possible thanks to BP Umbreon but needs good support - ideally Swanna. The problem is that we need Swanna for the Flying stage. That only leaves us with Serperior for 6EX support for the Dark stage. We also need a healer for that battle, which limits our options even further. Grass is an okay type now that we have Ho-oh, but it's a fairly difficult battle. C. Iris is actually the easiest battle thanks to Solgaleo's grid.

1) BP Umbreon (3/5), Serperior (6EX, 2/5), Pikachu (4*, 5/5)
How good is Umbreon? Not very good. It's at least good enough to win 1500 MM, but requires mid-tier supports. Recoil damage forces you to bring a healer, and then ideally we want a tank + offensive support. We can get to +2 crit/+4 attack naturally but requires a 4 turn setup. Serperior is just here for the 6EX boost, so we have to rely on luck to get the crits at the right moments. The stage parameter is also needed here, or else we wouldn't be able to one shot the sides. Inconsistent battle, but at least I get to use Umbreon.

2) Ho-oh (20/20, 5/5), Rapidash, Probopass (4*)
Very tight battle. The main piece of execution needed here is the post-sync Solarbeam timing. That one extra Solarbeam is the difference between taking him out pre-sync and not. After that, hope that Rock Slide doesn't hit / flinch. Somewhat inconsistent battle, if he uses Liquidation twice you're dead. Flinches can mess you up too.

Pretty sure this is the same battle as last week. Last week I toxic stalled it, and I didn't want to do the same thing so I cheated with Xerneas. Seismitoad is ass, but really it doesn't matter since Xerneas can solo everything.

Grids: Horn Leech Master Healer.

4) Swanna (6EX, 5/5), Toucannon, Egg Primeape (4*)
Easy battle with Swanna and Toucannon. It's possible to win pre-sync, but I messed up with the post-sync timing. Still managed to pull it off in the end. A bit easier than other Flying stages because right side doesn't have an AoE move.

Easy with Solgaleo and the stage parameters. Buff and then attack. Most straightforward battle this week.
