After finding the Groudon Statue and clearing the fog, we are heading to Fogbound Lake to find Uxie. Steam Cave has a lot of Fire and Bug types, and your team should be between Level 18 and 20, as this is a challenging dungeon at this point in the game. Make sure you bring a lot of Reviver Seeds, Oran Berries and a few items as there is a tough battle coming up.

The Pokémon found in Steam Cave are Slugma, Snubbull, Numel, Magby, Farfetch'd, Yanma and Kricketune. There is Upper Steam Cave, which has more powerful Pokémon than Steam Cave, those are Yanma, Farfetch'd, Kricketune, Granbull, Shuckle, Volbeat, Illumise and Magmar. Yanma can use SonicBoom for 20 damage, Granbull has the Elemental Fangs, Magmar can be a dangerous opponent if you are not using a Water type. For the Boss fight against Groudon, this is a very tough boss as you are fighting a Legendary Pokémon at this point in the game. Groudon can use Scary Face, AncientPower and Slash. If you are using Pikachu or Shinx, they will have a very hard time, and because of Drought, Water type moves will be weakened. Make sure you bring some X-Eye Seeds and Sleep Seeds, as well as Reviver Seeds and Oran Berries before taking on this powerful opponent.
