Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough 60: The Time to Evolve
The time has come, now we can evolve, the requirements for evolution will be listed here, you will need to have beaten Darkrai, then have Manaphy tell you about the Marine Resort, and you will need to have recruited Palkia to the team. The good thing about evolution is that some Pokémon gain a new type, as well as some new moves, so it would be interesting to see what moves Totodile will learn when it evolves.
As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.
Since we can evolve, I will list many things the starters can get when they evolve. First off is the Elemental Hyper Beams, those are Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon. Frenzy Plant can be learned by Venusaur, Meganium, Sceptile and Torterra. The Pokémon that can use Blast Burn are Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken and Infernape, and for Hydro Cannon, Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert and Empoleon can use it. You will need to have a high enough IQ in order to learn those moves, and every Dragon type Pokémon can learn Draco Meteor that way as well. There is also Volt Tackle for the Pikachu line, but only Pichu can get it, so if you started with Pikachu, you cannot get Volt Tackle, because you have to learn it as a Pichu.
I will make a list of moves the starters learn when they evolve.

There was a glitch in the North American release of this game where if you evolved a Pokémon whose nickname is 10 characters long, unless it was a Pokémon that isn't nicknamed, like Charmander, the game will freeze, this was fixed in the European version of this game.
