It is finally here, the remake of the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, Red & Blue Rescue Team has been remade for the Switch, and with some nice graphics, this game is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. Like in the original games, you are a human that has turned into a Pokémon, and you have no memory of your human life, and you meet up with your partner Pokémon in a world where Pokémon can talk, but then again you have turned into a Pokémon, so you are able to understand what Pokémon are saying, and it is time to start the adventure.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The Mystery Dungeon series is my favourite Pokémon spin-off series, and it is great to see the first game be remade after all of those years, and with nice water-colour graphics. You can carry over save data from the Demo version, which released two months ago, and continue from there. For this playthrough, I will not carry over data from the Demo version, and instead I will play as different Pokémon to the Demo version, because I got Psyduck and picked Cubone for my partner in the Demo.
Your starter choices include Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, Machop, Cubone, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and Skitty, and they were the starters in the original game. I will list the moves they know, some of which are really powerful TM and Egg Moves in the main series Pokémon games.
Bulbasaur: Vine Whip, Sludge, Tackle, Seed Bomb
Charmander: Scratch, Flame Burst, Bite, Dragon Rage
Squirtle: Brick Break, Water Gun, Tackle, Bite
Pikachu: Fake Out, Electro Ball, Grass Knot, Iron Tail
Meowth: Scratch, Fake Out, Bite, Foul Play
Psyduck: Scratch, Water Gun, Confusion, Zen Headbutt
Machop: Bullet Punch, Brick Break, Karate Chop, Strength
Cubone: Headbutt, Bone Club, Brutal Swing, Brick Break
Eevee: Bite, Tackle, Swift, Quick Attack
Chikorita: Ancient Power, Razor Leaf, Tackle, Grass Knot
Cyndaquil: Quick Attack, Ember, Double Kick, Facade
Totodile: Metal Claw, Water Gun, Ice Fang, Scratch
Treecko: Quick Attack, Absorb, Dragon Breath, Iron Tail
Torchic: Quick Attack, Ember, Low Kick, Peck
Mudkip: Mud Bomb, Water Gun, Tackle, Mud Slap
Skitty: Fake Out, Echoed Voice, Charge Beam, Grass Knot

With 16 different Pokémon, there are many different team options, and do note that your partner cannot be the same type as you, say you picked Bulbasaur for your starter, you cannot have Treecko or Chikorita for your partner, or if you get Meowth, you cannot pick Eevee or Skitty for your partner.
As the game starts, the main character wakes up and meets up with the partner Pokémon, and then a Butterfree shows up and tells us that her child Caterpie had fallen into a fissure, and the Pokémon are acting aggressively, so it is up to us to enter Tiny Woods and save Caterpie.
This game gives you the tutorials on how to explore Mystery Dungeons, and Tiny Woods is a simple dungeon, the Pokémon you can encounter include Pidgey, Wurmple, Sunkern, and Exeggcute, they shouldn't be too difficult to deal with, specially if you are using a Fire-type to take some of those Pokémon.
After getting through Tiny Woods, which has 3 floors, we rescue Caterpie, and we get some nice items from Butterfree, like a Tiny Reviver Seed, Pecha Berry, and 500 Poké, some of these can be helpful items.
Then we find the Rescue Team Base, and you can get to pick the name for your team, and I do like how you can pick random, and will give you random names for the team, some of which can be really funny, and then we get our Rescue Team Scarfs (or Scarves as the plural), and we have now become a Rescue Team.
