We learn that Gengar is heading to Mt. Freeze to meet up with Ninetales, and after a day of rescue jobs, Gengar will ask for our help with going through Mt. Freeze. Even if Gengar has done bad things to us in the past, he is willing to get help from our team in climbing Mt. Freeze all the way to the summit to see Ninetales.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I have decided for this video to do the filler day and then the escort Gengar through Mt. Freeze, the first day is just filler, if you talk to Ekans and Medicham at Pokémon Square, they will tell you that Gengar wants to go to the summit of Mt. Freeze, which is where Ninetales is at, but you don't have to access Mt. Freeze on that day, because you will not find Gengar or Ninetales at the summit on that day, so you have to wait a day.
I decided to evolve Gligar into Gliscor before going through the dungeon, because I find that Gliscor learns a wide variety of good moves, like Acrobatics and the Elemental Fangs, and it does get some other good moves, like X-Scissor, Poison Jab, Knock Off, and a few others.
After exploring a dungeon on the filler day, Gengar shows up outside the base, and you have to escort him through Mt. Freeze, and good thing they add the checkpoint with the Kangaskhan Statue for that visit, so that way you can prepare for the summit of Mt. Freeze, but you don't get to fight Ninetales.
In the original games, Gengar had a weird moveset, he had Scratch, Leer, Quick Attack, and Taunt, and aside from Taunt, Gengar cannot learn those moves legally, and those are Absol's level up moves, I don't know if it had to do with programming with the original games, but then Absol did travel with us through Mt. Freeze on the first visit. In this game, Gengar has moves it can learn, like Shadow Ball and Sucker Punch, and he can fight through some battles, but you will need to bring some Reviver Seeds with you, but Gengar shouldn't cause that much trouble in this game compared to the original, because Gengar was Level 15 and you had to protect him from enemy Pokémon.
When you reach the summit, Ninetales will appear, and we finally learn who the human from the Ninetales Legend really is. After a bit of dialogue, we receive an item called the 9-Tail Crest, and we must go to Murky Cave along with Gengar, as this is where Gardevoir's physical form is sealed away, and we will need Gengar's help if we want to unseal Gardevoir.
