Pokémon Physical Moves & Special Moves Explained (2016)
Pokemon Physical and Special Attackers Explained for the Pokemon games. Questions like: What is a physical attacker? What is a special attacker? What is the difference between a special and a physical attacker? And more will be explained in this video.
Have you ever heard about physical and special attackers in Pokemon? Do you know the difference between the two? These are the questions I hope to answer for you in this video.
The two words special and physical are used to describe the offensive stat a pokemon makes use of. This is in a lot of times determined by the Pokemon's base stats. If a Pokemon has a moveset where it makes use of its physical power (the Attack stat) it is specified as a physical attacker. And if a Pokemon has a moveset where it makes use of its special Power (the Special Attack stat) it is referred to as a Special Attacker. In cases where the Pokemon makes use of both its Attack and Speical Attack stat you would call them a mixed attacker.
Common Pokemon that will work well as physical attackers can be Garchomp, Kangaskhan and Talonflame. The item Choice Band is exclusive for physical attackers and will boost a physical move by 50%, but in return make the Pokemon only capable of using the first chosen move before the Pokemon is switched out.
Common Pokemon that work well as special attackers can be Serperior, Togekiss and Rotom. The item Choice Specs is exclusive for physical attackers and will boost a physical move by 50%, but in return make the Pokemon only capable of using the first chosen move before the Pokemon is switched out.
Pokemon that work well as mixed attackers can be Charizard, Goodra and Salamence. Items that can be used on these types of Pokemon are Mega Stones, Life Orb, Asault Vest, Choice Scarf and Leftovers.
