Ponte needs a Probopass for this quest. He does tell you that it's in Chroma Ruins, but some preparation is needed before you start this. Probopass is locked behind that door near the Umbreon that requires Psy Power 3 to open. This can be accomplished with a small handful of pokemon, such as Gardevoir, Dusclops, Dusknoir, or my personal pick, Gengar. Gengar is the most accessible since it's available at the top of Altru Tower, which is really easy to climb up and down. Once you have it, trek through Chroma Ruins, open the door, and there's your Probopass.
