I wanted to use my Rare Candies after the Rhyhorn trainer, but I still wanted to stay in red bar. I learned that Blastoise barely survives Ponyta's Stomp with 15 HP left and I used a X-Special to OHKO Blaine's Arcanine. I used Dig to get out the gym and I flew back to Viridian City. The Rhyhorn was no match and I used my Rare Candies. Both Machoke could survive a Surf without them and Giovanni's Dugtrio would also outspeed Blastoise. I obtained the TM Fissure and I taught it to Blastoise, while healing it with a Super Potion.

Saved at 1:44 with a L51 Blastoise.
