WARNING! This video contains massive spoilers on the endgame of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, if you don't want to have the game spoiled for you, turn back now!
To explain about this video, I have made it to the end of Pokémon Scarlet, what you have to do is complete all three stories, those being Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street, then you have to meet up with Arven, Nemona, and Penny at Zero Gate, and then you ride Koraidon all the way down to Area Zero, which is in the Great Crater of Paldea.
I reveal my final team and the back-up team, Skeledirge is my starter, Dachsbun and Arboliva were the only two Pokémon I had planned for the team before playing Scarlet, I didn't originally consider Glimmora for the final team, originally I wanted to use Pawmot or Bellibolt, but as I liked Glimmora's design, and I even considered it for the final team in my Violet playthrough, I decided to use it in this game, Kingambit is my powerful Physical Attacker, and it was a grind getting Pawniard evolved into Bisharp, and I went with Dondozo for my Water-type, originally I was going to use Veluza, but when I saw Dondozo's stats, I ended up putting it on my final team. For my back-up team, or the Pokémon that are in rotation, I have Drifblim, Scizor, Armarouge, Revavroom, Veluza, and Baxcalibur, and I occasionally use Pawmot for paralyzing wild Pokémon to help with capturing them.
The adventure through Area Zero is really slow, this video took almost two hours to record, and I originally was going to include the final boss in this video, but decided to make the final boss fight in Scarlet be its own video, but anyway, it takes a long time to explore Area Zero as you can't even ride Koraidon or Miradon on your first visit due to a traumatic experience they had back then. As with Area Zero, I don't mind the music, but I do find it a bit unsettling, and I have heard that Toby Fox did compose the music for Area Zero, I do like the wild Pokémon battle theme for Area Zero.
The difference in Scarlet is the Paradox Pokémon, those have a more ancient appearance and came from the past, and you fight your first one at Research Station 2, the first Research Station has an encounter with a Glimmora, it would be nice to have a different Pokémon, but then again Nemona does comment on it being one of the Pokémon used by Geeta, this does also describe Espathra, which can also be found in Area Zero, I guess they went with Glimmora due to its connection to Tera Crystals, and they can be found in the depths of Area Zero.
The first Paradox Pokémon encounter is against what looks to be a Jigglypuff, this creature is known as Scream Tail, it is a Fairy/Psychic-type, in Violet, you fight Iron Bundle, which is an Ice/Water-type that resembles Delibird. Scream Tail has HP and Special Defense for its best stats, and it has good Speed to make it a decent support Pokémon, it has access to Reflect and Light Screen, the downside to Scream Tail is it doesn't have the best offensive stats.
Then you fight Great Tusk, which we have encountered back at Asado Desert, and there is the Paradox Pokémon ambush where you fight Great Tusk, Brute Bonnet, and Flutter Mane, in Violet, it would be Iron Treads, Iron Hands, and Iron Jugulis.
Brute Bonnet is a Grass/Dark-type that resembles Amoonguss, and this is my least favourite Paradox Pokémon, I don't like the design, even though I don't mind Amoonguss as a Pokémon, I am not a fan of Brute Bonnet. Unlike Amoonguss, Brute Bonnet is a Physical Attacker, having a higher Attack stat, it does have good HP and defensive stats, its typing isn't as great as Amoonguss's, Brute Bonnet is 4x weak to Bug, it can be decent in Double Battles with access to moves like Spore and Rage Powder, but it is very tricky to use in Single Battles when you have moves like U-turn and First Impression to watch out for. Brute Bonnet does require TMs to get certain Physical moves, like Seed Bomb, Crunch, Close Combat, Stomping Tantrum, and many other moves.
Next is Flutter Mane, which is a prehistoric Misdreavus, it is a Ghost/Fairy-type, and this is my favourite ancient Paradox Pokémon, I like the design for that thing. Flutter Mane comes with Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Power Gem, and Mystical Fire when caught, meaning it is ready to fight, it learns Moonblast at Level 84, and it does get some good TM moves like Thunderbolt, Psychic, Energy Ball, and many other moves, and it has massive Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed, this thing even got banned in the competitive scene.
