While trying to find the lost Wooloo in the woods, Hop and Satoshi meet a mysterious Pokemon. Afterwards, the two make their way to Wedgehurst in order to meet the esteemed Professor Magnolia in order to get her endorsement for Gym Battles in the Galar Region. At the Research Lab the two instead meet her granddaughter Sonia, who directs them to the villa where the Professor stays. Along the way, there are many Pokemon to be caught.

Getting away from the story a bit, I personally like the graphics. It's fairly smooth when it needs to be such as in terms of the angle changes while walking. I personally do not like the auto exp-share going on but that's just my nostalgia coming in. I think it takes away from training each Pokemon one by one and developing a connection trying to level it up, although this does make things (this playthrough) a lot faster. I do like the exp you get from catching Pokemon though. It makes sense as your Pokemon do battle to catch other ones. Running away doesn't count because they flee and don't learn as much from it...maybe?
