A quick peek into the gym at Cianwood showed that I am not ready to take that on. But I have this Flareon, whom I taught the Fire Blast TM that I won at the Game Corner. Jasmine has steel-type Pokemon. And I can't imagine her Pokemon are that much higher a level.

I was wrong.

Regardless, Flareon's surprisingly up to the task. But Fire Blast can miss. Thankfully, I have Wartortle as a backup with Dig. A risky play, given the weakness to electricity, but Magnemite is 4x weak against ground-type attacks. (In hindsight, I also have a guy that I could've brought in.)

BTW, how are steel-types "recently discovered"? Magnemite have been around for at least a few years, already!
