Status of my team: Weepinbell Lv45, Ampharos Lv45, Graveler Lv46,
Fearow Lv46, Magmar Lv46, Feraligatr Lv46Okay folks, we've arrived at
Kanto and for that, we have ourselves the first gym battle of this
region. He's actually the third gym leader so don't blame me. Lt.
Surge, the Vermillion City Gym Leader and a specialist in Electric-type
Pokemon.He has the following Pokemon in his party:Raichu Lv51,
Electrode Lv47, Electrode Lv47, Magneton Lv47 and Electabuzz Lv53If you
have a Ground-type Pokemon in your party with an attack like
Earthquake, then this guy is a joke. Just let out the Earthquake every
turn and he goes splat. But if you don't, expect a long fight because
all his Pokemon are fast and you'll need Pokemon that can slow them
down. They are all prone to Double Team which can raise evasiveness so
use moves that strike where it hurts.After beating Lt. Surge, you get
the Thunder Badge as well as TM34 which teaches Shock Wave, an attack
that never misses. Sort of like Aerial Ace, I guess... but hey, at
least the gym leaders here provide TMs when you beat them unlike in
