Pokemon Soul Silver - Viridian City Gym Leader Green
27Status of my team so far: Fearow Lv57, Magmar Lv57, Feraligatr Lv57,
Victreebel Lv57, Ampharos Lv57, Graveler Lv58We reach Viridian City Gym
and as you know, Giovanni is no longer the gym leader. Instead, we find
a familiar face and ironically, its the rival of Red... Green. When I
mean Green, I mean by his name under Fire Red and Leaf Green as well as
the Manga.He has the following Pokemon in his party:Pidgeot Lv60,
Rhydon Lv58, Machamp Lv56, Gyarados Lv52, Exeggutor Lv55, Arcanine
Lv58My god... his team is the same as it was in Gold and Silver when he
was named Blue but only one difference... he replaced Alakazam for a
Machamp. All of his Pokemon are really capable of putting up a
challenge so be prepared. For Pidgeot and Gyarados, use
Electric-attacks to take it down while Rhydon can be easily cast aside
with Water or Grass attacks, Machamp can be hit by Psychic attacks
while Exeggutor can be easily taken down with a Bug-type attack like
Signal Beam. But you need to take it down fast for it'll use Trick Room
which can really be a big problem. As for Arcanine, you can use Water
and Ground-type attacks. Be prepared for anything and everything and
remember, this will be the toughest out of all the Gym Leaders so give
it everything you've got.After defeating Green, you earn the Earth
Badge as well as TM92 which teaches Trick Room. Trick Room twists the
dimensions giving slow Pokemon the opportunity to move first for five
turns. I've seen Trick Room done before many times but never on a Gym
Leader. With 16 badges, you probably are wondering what I should do
next... that's obvious. I'm going to train for a while in the hopes of
defeating Red as well as the Elite Four rematches and the Gym Leader
rematches... providing that I can get all of them to challenge
