Today I catch Heracross, my fourth team member.
Pokemon Review: Heracross
Heracross is a Bug/Fighting type with base 125 attack. It also has some nice Defense (75 base) and nice Special Defense (95 base). This is probably the best Fighting type you will get early on in the game. With base 85 Speed, it is capable of outspeeding most Dark types (except a really fast Dark type from Sinnoh).
Early on in the game, Heracross isn't too useful, but at level 13 it learns Aerial Ace, which can be a good choice. At level 19 it learns the powerful Brick Break. After that, it doesn't learn many useful moves until 37, where it learns Close Combat.
Tm-wise, it can learn the following good moves:
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Shadow Claw
Rock Slide
Giga Impact
Focus Punch
Bulk Up
