Strategy:
Blaine uses Overheat and combines it with White Herbs so that he can use it twice before a stat down. A Pokemon with Intimidate will be useful here, as it wastes the White Herb.
Magcargo - Slow, 4x weak to Water and Ground, this is the least of your concerns. Water/Ice types should watch out for Rock Slide though.
Magmar - Water doesn't work well against Magmar since it has ThunderPunch. Ground is generally the best choice here. Confuse Ray is- you know how annoying that can be.
You can pick up a Yellow Flute on Route 12, which can work well here, since you can PP Stall its Confuse Ray.
Rapidash - The thing I hate. It's incredibly fast and has good Attack. The 'waste the White Herb strategy' doesn't work well here since it only weakens its Overheat attack.
Bounce is annoying due to the avoid turn. If you can predict a Bounce, and you are slower than it, try using Dig or Dive.
