Pokemon Soul Silver Walkthrough Part 48
In this episode I take on the Saffron City Gym. The battle begins at 6:21.

Boss Fight: Sabrina

Espeon Level 52
Psychic (Weak to Bug, Ghost, Dark)
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Calm Mind
Skill Swap

Mrs. Mime Level 53
Psychic (Weak to Bug, Ghost, Dark)
Mimic
Light Screen
Psychic
Skill Swap

Alakazam Level 55
Psychic (Weak to Bug, Ghost, Dark)
Psychic
Skill Swap
Reflect
Energy Ball

Strategy:

Espeon - This can actually be the most threatening Pokémon on her team due to Calm Mind. With base 110 Speed and base 130 Special Attack, this will sweep if it gets up too many Calm Minds. You could buy a lot of Revives and stall it out of PP, but your best bet is to force Sabrina to switch it out eg with Perish Song or Whirlwind.

Mr. Mime - or should I say, Mrs. Mime. It will Mimic you to get another move, and Psychic is its main attacking move. It can put up a Light Screen and Skill Swap your ability. You will get the nice Filter ability, which reduces the power of enemy supereffective attacks, which will be helpful against the next Pokémon.

Alakazam - A big-time Special Sweeper, this has the highest base Special Attack out of all non-legendarys that appear in Generation IV. It is also very fast, with base 120 Speed. However, it has lower defense than anything you could possibly think of - this gives it one huge weakness: Increased Priority moves. This includes Shadow Sneak - which will have 80 power due to Super-effectiveness, or Extremespeed due to being as powerful as Shadow Sneak. With that and STAB, you will knock it out with 1/2 hits.
