Pokemon Soul Silver Walkthrough Part 54 - Another Gym Battle
Pokemon Soul Silver Walkthrough Part 54
Misty uses Water types and is a tough opponent.
Two confuses in a row - I get very unlucky. First, Roarks cranidos crits me twice, then Arcceus crits me twice, then Steel Wing misses 3 times in a row (Episode 35 - Battles at 64x speed) and now 2 confuses in a row!
I was expecting her to switch Quagsire in, so I switched Victreebel in. It turns out she didn't, but Brussels survived the Psychic to KO it with a Leaf Blade. Lapras was odd, but I sent Typhlosion in as a sacrifice. Since I could outspeed it, I set up a Sunny Day so that Victreebel could get a free SolarBeam. I ended up killing it with Flamethrowers. Skarmory may have seemed like an odd choice against Starmie, but Night Slash was super-effective, so I just went for the damage.

Strategy:
Misty likes status effects; Sing, Water Pulse, and Confuse Ray.
Golduck - Though it isn't Psychic type, it knows Psychic, which is bad for your Grass/Poison types like my Victreebel. Disable is just annoying, and Psych Up means you shouldn't set up with X items.
Quagsire - 4x weak to Grass, any Grass type = RIP Quagsire. Amnesia is annoying if you use Special Attacks, and Rain Dance powers up Water Pulse.
Lapras - It's slow, and an Ice type, but it's bulky, particularly its Sp. Def. You should know this if you've been watching my walkthroughs, because I have one myself. Ice Beam is something to be aware of if you're a Grass type. Sing is inaccurate, but can hit, and will be very annoying.
Starmie - Special sweeper, very fast, and it isn't frail either. Grass types are at danger from Ice Beam, Confuse Ray makes you kill yourself in your confusion, and Recover is a backup if she runs out of Full Restores.
