2The gym of Fuchsia City has invisible barriers that form a maze. All of the trainers inside seemingly pose as Janine, and choosing the wrong one will fool you into battling a basic trainer. The real deal is at the center of the gym. Navigate the maze of invisible barriers and you’ll be able to take on Janine. Janine uses Poison type Pokémon. Crobat will use Confuse Ray to confuse the target and Screech to sharply lower the target’s Defense stat. Weezing will use Toxic to badly poison the target and Explosion to deal massive damage while making itself faint in the process. One Ariados will use Scary Face to sharply lower the target’s Speed stat and the other one will use Swagger to confuse the target. Venomoth will use Double Team to raise its evasiveness stat and Signal Beam for a 10% chance of confusing the target. After the battle, you’ll receive the Soul Badge and a TM84 (Poison Jab). Poison Jab has a 30% chance of poisoning the target.
