I have made it all the way through the Gym Leader Castle, and it is time to take on the Elite Four. They are four powerful Trainers that specialize in different types, but there are some that use Pokémon of a different type, this was the case back in Red & Blue where each Elite Four member specialized in two types.
First is Lorelei, an Ice-type specialist, and she uses some Water-type Pokémon as well as there weren't that many Ice-types back in this generation, and the Elite Four use Pokémon that they used in the main series games, but have extra Pokémon of their specialized type. Second is Bruno, he uses Fighting and Rock-type Pokémon, the next one is Agatha, and because there was only one Ghost-type evolution line, she uses Poison-type Pokémon as well as Ghost-types, and the final member is Lance, a Dragon-type user, and like Ghost, there is only one Dragon-type evolution line, and Lance uses Pokémon that have a dragon-like appearance, like Gyarados, Aerodactyl, and Charizard.
The team that I picked are ones with good match-ups, I went with Nidoking to take on the Poison-types, Jynx and Articuno for Ice-types, and Zapdos for the Electric-type, Jolteon and Electrode are backup options.
I will list each Trainers that you fight in the Elite Four, as well as the Pokémon they use.
Battle 1: Lorelei
Dewgong: Aurora Beam, Surf, Rest, Take Down
Cloyster: Supersonic, Explosion, Clamp, Spike Cannon
Slowbro: Surf, Tri Attack, Psychic, Thunder Wave

Battle 5: Rival

Electabuzz: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Seismic Toss, Reflect
Pinsir: Swords Dance, Hyper Beam, Seismic Toss, Toxic

The Elite Four use Pokémon they used in the main series games, Lorelei uses all of her Pokémon, the only addition is Articuno, which for some reason doesn't have an Ice-type move. Next is Bruno, in the main series games, he had two Onix, but he has included Golem and Rhydon onto the team, his Rhydon has Body Slam, along with Fissure and Horn Drill, but as Rhydon is very slow, you should be able to take it out with a good Water or Grass-type move. Next is Agatha, she is a challenging foe, her Venusaur has the Leech Seed and Toxic combo, Arbok has Glare, Wrap, and Fissure, and Muk can use Explosion. The final member is Lance, and he uses a variety of types, Aerodactyl is his only Pokémon to have Hyper Beam, and most of his Pokémon, like Gyarados, Lapras, Aerodactyl, and Charizard, are weak to Electric-type moves.
After beating Lance, there is one more Trainer left to fight, and it is the Rival, and his name is Rival in this game, not Blue in the main series game, or even Gary like in the Anime, I am sure most players that played Red & Blue have named him Gary back in the day.
The Rival's team is different if you have a Game Boy Pokémon game, his initial team is Exeggutor, Slowbro, Ninetales, Clefable, Electabuzz, and Pinsir, for Red & Blue, his team would be Arcanine, Gyarados, Magneton, Alakazam, Exeggutor, and Dodrio, and his team is different depending on your starter, his starter has the advantage against yours. He uses Venusaur instead of Magneton, Charizard instead of Arcanine, and Blastoise instead of Gyarados. If you have Yellow, his team will be based on what he has evolved his Eevee into, his team is Sandslash, Alakazam, Exeggutor, Magneton, Arcanine, and Cloyster, with Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon replacing Cloyster, Magneton, or Arcanine respectively.
After that, you then get a prize Pokémon, the following Pokémon you can get are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Eevee, Omanyte, or Kabuto, which are given at random, those being Pokémon you can only get one of in the Game Boy games.
