I have made it to the Elite Four in Round 2, and while they did prove to be a challenge in Round 1, they do not mess around in Round 2. While their Round 1 teams were based around their specialty types, in Round 2, they add Pokémon of different types to round out their teams. This is very difficult with Rental Pokémon, and the ones I selected are Dugtrio, Kadabra, Golem, Jolteon, Articuno, and Zapdos, I did choose some of the best, but we'll see how they fare against a harder Elite Four.
I will list each Trainers that you fight in the Elite Four, as well as the Pokémon they use.
Battle 1: Lorelei
Articuno: Ice Beam, Sky Attack, Toxic, Double-Edge
Starmie: Blizzard, Surf, Thunder Wave, Psychic
Wigglytuff: Blizzard, Rest, Toxic, Double-Edge
Cloyster: Ice Beam, Clamp, Toxic, Explosion
Omastar: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Seismic Toss, Blizzard
Exeggutor: Leech Seed, Egg Bomb, Mega Drain, Psychic

Battle 2: Bruno
Machamp: Submission, Earthquake, Hyper Beam, Seismic Toss
Muk: Sludge, Minimize, Thunderbolt, Explosion
Clefable: Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Ice Beam
Hitmonlee: Hi Jump Kick, Seismic Toss, Double Team, Mega Kick
Slowbro: Surf, Psychic, Thunder Wave, Amnesia
Rhydon: Earthquake, Rock Slide, Surf, Body Slam

Battle 3: Agatha
Gengar: Confuse Ray, Bide, Psychic, Explosion
Venusaur: Mega Drain, Sleep Powder, Double-Edge, SolarBeam
Jynx: Blizzard, Psychic, Lovely Kiss, Reflect
Arbok: Glare, Wrap, Screech, Earthquake
Gyarados: Surf, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Hyper Beam
Alakazam: Psychic, Thunder Wave, Seismic Toss, Recover

Battle 4: Lance
Arcanine: Flamethrower, Dragon Rage, Hyper Beam, Dig
Electabuzz: Thunder Wave, Psychic, Seismic Toss, Thunderbolt
Snorlax: Selfdestruct, Amnesia, Earthquake, Double-Edge
Lapras: Ice Beam, Confuse Ray, Body Slam, Psychic
Charizard: Slash, Seismic Toss, Earthquake, Fire Spin
Kangaskhan: Body Slam, Surf, Rock Slide, Earthquake

Battle 5: Rival
Exeggutor: Psychic, Leech Seed, Mega Drain, Toxic
Slowbro: Earthquake, Psychic, Amnesia, Blizzard
Ninetales: Confuse Ray, Flamethrower, Dig, Toxic
Clefable: Thunderbolt, Psychic, Blizzard, Thunder Wave
Electabuzz: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Seismic Toss, Psychic
Pinsir: Slash, Bind, Seismic Toss, Toxic

The Elite Four in Round 2 use a balanced team, while Lorelei does use some Water and Ice-type Pokémon, she uses some more powerful Water-types, like Starmie and Omastar, and aside from Exeggutor, all of her Pokémon know Ice-types moves, she is very likely to use Articuno in that battle. Bruno has added some variety to his team, Slowbro and Clefable are there to handle Psychic-type Pokémon, while Muk seems to be a strange choice as it is weak to Psychic-type moves, it does have Explosion to deal massive damage, Slowbro does have Thunder Wave and Amnesia to make it even harder to take on. Agatha has included Gyarados, Jynx, and Alakazam to her team, and they are very powerful threats. Last up is Lance, his team is varied, Snorlax has Selfdestruct, he has Electabuzz which can use Thunderbolt and Psychic, and his Arcanine can use Dig and Dragon Rage.
Next is the Rival battle, and his team isn't any different to Round 1, but they do have different moves, his Electabuzz does have the exact same moves that Lance's has, and he does have different teams if you have a Game Boy Pokémon game connected, for Red & Blue, his team is based on your Starter Pokémon, and if you have Yellow connected, his team is based on what he evolved his Eevee into. After completing Gym Leader Castle, you get a prize Pokémon, the following Pokémon you can obtain are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Eevee, Omanyte, or Kabuto, which are given at random, those are usually Pokémon that you can only get one of in the Game Boy games.
