It has been one year since the release of the Crown Tundra DLC update for Sword & Shield, and the next Pokémon I do for Surprise Trade is Absol, a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 3. I usually breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, or in rare cases, 31 IVs in all 6 stats, and I went with Super Luck for the Ability, as this is Absol's best Ability, it does get Justified for its Hidden Ability, but there are better users of that Ability.
I went with Jolly for the Nature, it can work with either Adamant or Jolly, as Absol's best stat is Attack, and the rest of its stats are kind of average, the Egg Moves that I chose for Absol were Feint, Curse, Mean Look, and Magic Coat, it does get Bite and Double-Edge as well, I will list which parents in the Field Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Bite: Meowth, A-Meowth, Persian, A-Persian, Growlithe, Arcanine, Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Loudred, Exploud, Mawile, Electrike, Manectric, Shinx, Luxio, Luxray, Stunky, Skuntank, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Lillipup, Herdier, Stoutland, Sandile, Krokorok, Krookodile, Darumaka, G-Darumaka, Darmanitan, G-Darmanitan, Sylveon, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Rockruff, Lycanroc, Skwovet, Greedent, Yamper, Boltund, Morpeko
Curse: Torkoal
Double-Edge: Tauros, Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Dunsparce, Zigzagoon, G-Zigzagoon, Linoone, G-Linoone, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Stufful, Bewear, Passimian, Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Wooloo, Dubwool, Obstagoon
Feint: Pikachu, Raichu, A-Raichu, Meowth, A-Meowth, Persian, A-Persian, Stunky, Skuntank, Lucario, Cinderace
Magic Coat: Lopunny, Munna, Musharna
Mean Look: Umbreon, Meowstic-M

A decent selection of moves Absol can get from breeding, most of which can be good for passing down onto other Pokémon in Absol's Egg Group.
Absol does not evolve, it did once have a Mega Evolution in Generations 6 and 7, but that got removed in this game, as for level up moves, it can get Quick Attack, Leer, Double Team, Knock Off, Detect, Taunt, Slash, Night Slash, Focus Energy, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Future Sight, and Perish Song.
Next are TMs and TRs, starting with TMs, Absol can learn Thunder Wave, Rock Slide, Thief, Icy Wind, Facade, Will-O-Wisp, Rock Tomb, Bounce, Payback, Assurance, Shadow Claw, Psycho Cut, Retaliate, Snarl, False Swipe, and Brutal Swing, and for TRs, it can learn Body Slam, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Thunder, Megahorn, Baton Pass, Iron Tail, Taunt, Superpower, Close Combat, X-Scissor, Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, Play Rough, and Throat Chop.
While Absol is not meant to be a Mixed Attacker, it did have a Mega Evolution in the previous generation, which had a base 115 Special Attack and Speed, and a base 150 Attack, so Mega Absol was a great Mixed Attacker, but with Mega Evolution gone, all Absol has is its base 130 Attack and below average stats, none of which go over 75, and if you are wondering, Glalie has base 80 in all of its stats, and people say that Glalie is terrible, all of Absol's stats are lower than Glalie's, with the exception of Absol's base 130 Attack.
I could go over Absol in competitive battling, it isn't a top tier Pokémon, but it can make use of Super Luck with held items like the Scope Lens, and it can use a wide variety of Physical moves, like Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Psycho Cut, Stone Edge, Close Combat, and many other moves. Absol is one of few Dark-type Pokémon in this game that can learn Knock Off without the need to transfer from a previous generation, the others being Crawdaunt, Drapion, and Obstagoon, while most others tend to have Throat Chop or Darkest Lariat if they can learn it, or even Sucker Punch for a good priority move.
While Absol isn't one of the best Pokémon in battle with its seemingly average stats all around, its high Attack stat is one thing it has going for it, so it does face competition with many other Pokémon, its access to Sucker Punch is one thing that can help in battle. Absol isn't worth using in Double Battles, while it does get Justified, so does Arcanine, Lucario, and Terrakion, who are way better users with that Ability than Absol.
It is a decent Pokémon, and when going over Absol in the main story, it is a strong Dark-type option if you can get it early on through Surprise Trade, because the earliest options for Dark-types in this game are Galarian Zigzagoon, Nickit, and Purrloin, Galarian Zigzagoon is a solid option, but with Absol, it has a higher Attack stat than the ones you get early on.
