The next objective from Calyrex is to find its loyal steed, and to do that, we need its favourite food, and the soil that we can grow said food depends on which one we can pick. The locations are Old Cemetery or Snowslide Slope, and we can only pick one of these places.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

After interacting with Calyrex, it tells us to talk to the villagers to see if there are any places to grow carrots, and they tell us that we can go with Shaderoot Carrots or Iceroot Carrots, and to get Carrot Seeds, one person can give you some for 8 Dynite Ore, so if you have collected enough, you can get some. Calyrex then shows you the soil you need to plant those seeds, one is at Old Cemetery, and another is at Snowslide Slope.
Time to go over encounters, starting with Old Cemetery, there are a lot of Ghost-type Pokémon, like Sinistea, Drakloak, Lampent, Phantump, and a few others, and you can even their evolved forms as overworld encounters, so at least that is where you can catch a wild Dragapult or Polteageist at.
The other area is Snowslide Slope, and there are some new encounters on this route, you can find Beldum there, and good news for players that are tired of its stupidly low catch-rate, Beldum no longer has Take Down, it will have Tackle instead, so you don't have to worry about Beldum knocking itself out, but you do have to worry about Hail damage. Beldum and its evolved forms have a catch rate of 3, which is equal to a Legendary Pokémon, and you can find its evolved form Metang as an overworld encounter, and later in the area, you can even find Metagross as well. Metagross has very good stats in Attack and Defense, and it does get Zen Headbutt and Meteor Mash for good STAB moves, and it learns some good TMs and TRs, like Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and a few others, if you can capture any of the Beldum evolution line, they can fill in for a good team member.
For other notable overworld encounters, you can find Absol, Druddigon, Aurorus, Vanilluxe, Glalie, Froslass, Clefable, Galarian Darmanitan, and a few others depending on the weather.
When you choose which soil you want to grow your Carrot Seeds, you get Shaderoot Carrots from Old Cemetery, or Iceroot Carrots from Snowslide Slope, and Calyrex does some silly dance, while keeping Peony in float with its Psychic power, to grow those crops, which will then decide which one of its steeds you get.
If you chose to grow Shaderoot Carrots at Old Cemetery, that will attract the Ghost-type steed called Spectrier, or if you grow Iceroot Carrots at Snowslide Slope, you get to see the Ice-type steed called Glastrier, they will be heading into Freezington.
When you go back, you see Glastrier or Spectrier threatening the villagers at Freezington, so you have to battle them, and you cannot capture them yet.
Going over stats, Glastrier is an Ice-type Pokémon with high Attack and Defense, good Special Defense, and low Speed. Its Ability is Chilling Neigh, if Glastrier knocks out one of your Pokémon, its Attack is boosted by one stage. Its moves are Taunt, Double-Edge, Swords Dance, and Icicle Crash, so if you let Glastrier boost its Attack with Swords Dance, it can be tough to stop, it is slow, so you shouldn't have too many problems if you have a good Fire, Rock, Steel, or Fighting-type Pokémon to defeat it.
The other steed is Spectrier, a Ghost-type Pokémon with high Speed and Special Attack, its moves are Disable, Double-Edge, Nasty Plot, and Shadow Ball, if it sets up Nasty Plot, its Shadow Ball can deal massive damage. Spectrier's Ability is Grim Neigh, which boosts its Special Attack if it knocks out one of your Pokémon, making this thing even more dangerous if you don't have anything that resists Shadow Ball.
When defeated, Glastrier or Spectrier will not stop attacking, until Calyrex uses its power to stop them, and they will run off, dropping part of their mane, so we have saved the villagers of Freezington. You get White Hair Mane from Glastrier, or Black Hair Mane from Spectrier.
