For this Surprise Trade, I chose the Pokémon, so it wasn't from my list, and because it is Halloween, I will be trading Pumpkaboo. It makes sense to trade a Ghost-type Pokémon, and Pumpkaboo's signature move is called Trick-or-Treat, which I believe is called Halloween in Japan, so it makes sense to do Pumpkaboo Surprise Trade for Halloween.
I went with Super Size Pumpkaboo, as they are rarer, while Small Size is nice for the higher Speed, there isn't any need to do Average or Large Size Pumpkaboo, because those two are irrelevant when the other two can do well. I went with an Impish Nature for them, Adamant or Brave can work as well for Super Size Pumpkaboo, and as it can evolve into Gourgeist when traded, you get an evolved Pokémon right after the trade is complete. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and these Pumpkaboo have Egg Moves, it can get Disable, Destiny Bond, and Curse, I will list which parents in the Amorphous Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Curse: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Duskull, Dusclops, Spiritomb, Dusknoir, Yamask, G-Yamask, Cofagrigus, Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure, Phantump, Trevenant, Runerigus, Pincurchin
Destiny Bond: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Koffing, Weezing, G-Weezing, Wobbuffet, Drifloon, Drifblim, Dusknoir, Yamask, G-Yamask, Cofagrigus, Frillish, Jellicent, Phantump, Trevenant, Runerigus
Disable: Duskull, Dusclops, Dusknoir, Yamask, G-Yamask, Cofagrigus, Runerigus

Those are some decent Egg Moves it can get, and those can be good for passing down onto other Pokémon in the Egg Group, and I did include new additions from the Crown Tundra update for Egg Moves.
There isn't any reason to go over Pumpkaboo's moves through level up, specially because once traded, it will be evolved into Gourgeist. As I already said, the Pumpkaboo line are the only Pokémon to learn the move Trick-or-Treat, they learn it at Level 12, 24, and 36, and that moves adds the Ghost-type to the opponent. For other moves, it can get Shadow Sneak, Confuse Ray, Razor Leaf, Leech Seed, Bullet Seed, Seed Bomb, Shadow Ball, Trick, Pain Split, Phantom Force, Explosion, and Moonblast.
Then for Gourgeist's TM and TR movepool, for TMs, it can get Light Screen, Safeguard, Rock Slide, Thief, Giga Drain, Will-O-Wisp, Imprison, Trick Room, Mystical Fire, Hex, and Brutal Swing, and for TRs, it can learn Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Psychic, Sludge Bomb, Skill Swap, Gyro Ball, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Power Whip, Foul Play, Ally Switch, and Nasty Plot, while a Special Attacking Gourgeist might seem tempting, its Special Attack is very low, so I don't recommend giving it any Special Attacks.
As I am trading Super Size Pumpkaboo, I will only go over the Super Size Gourgeist in online battles, the Small Size does have higher Speed, while the Super Size one does have higher Attack. I wasn't sure whether to go with Insomnia, but I would say that Frisk is better, because Gourgeist learns a new tutor move called Poltergeist, it is a powerful Physical Ghost-type move that only works if the target is holding an item, that was a big imprvoement to many Physical Ghost-type attackers. Gourgeist does also get Grassy Glide, so on Weakness Policy sets, Gourgeist can Dynamax, and if sets up Grassy Terrain with Max Overgrowth, it can get in some priority with Grassy Glide. It does get Will-O-Wisp and Leech Seed for Defense, and Trick Room goes well with Super Size Gourgeist's low Speed.
Gourgeist doesn't see too much use in Double Battles, because it is outclassed by Dusclops as a defensive Ghost-type, and Dusclops does also get Trick Room, but with Gourgeist, it can get Ally Switch, which is a helpful move in Double Battles. Frisk is the more ideal Ability on Gourgeist, so that way if the target is holding an item, it can use Poltergeist to get off some damage, but aside from that, Gourgeist is kind of outclassed by better Ghost and Grass-type Pokémon in Double Battles, and for Grass-types, it is outclassed by Rillaboom and Amoonguss. For Small Size Gourgeist, it can use Trick-or-Treat to add the Ghost-type to its teammates or opponents, if its teammate has Shadow Ball, its teammate can get STAB if Gourgeist uses Trick-or-Treat on them.
While I usually randomize my list every week, this is one of these rare cases where I choose the Pokémon, and I find that Pumpkaboo is most fitting for this case, while it hasn't been that great of a Pokémon in the competitive scene, it is a decent Ghost/Grass-type Pokémon.
